Where will CHATTcon 2021 be held?
CHATTcon 2021 will be completely virtual. We'll be using a conference app called Whova that will allow you to connect with other attendees and to join all the sessions through the app.
The speaker's presentations have all been recorded and are available NOW for you to watch at your convenience. The speakers will NOT be giving presentations at the actual conference.
The speakers will be answering questions live and interacting with the audience on the conference dates of Jun 25-26. The only live presentation on that date will be Theresa McKeon's opening address. All the rest of the sessions will be Q&A based on questions submitted ahead of time and also questions asked during the real-time session.
I have the Whova App, but where is the conference?
Trouble accessing the event even though you have downloaded the app? It's almost always because of paying with one email, but registering for the app with a different one.
There are 2 ways to correct this:
1. Search your email (including junk/spam) and download the app from the link there.
2. Find the event code in the email we sent you when you first registered. Download Whova from the app store or from the link on the chattcon site (see button above here). Search in Whova for "convergence". Click on our conference and put in the code from the email in the Join section.
Where's the schedule?
The schedule is posted on the main page at chattcon.com. It's also available in the Whova app once you've registered.
All the presentations will be pre-recorded and are available NOW on the Whova app. You will be able to watch them at your convenience, post questions and discuss with other attendees.
On June 25-26 there will be live Q&A sessions with each speaker for 45 minutes each.
How can I see the recorded sessions and the live Q&As?
The lectures are available now in the Whova app. Here's how to find them:
1. open Whova app (get it from the link above if you don't have it)
2. Click on Agenda ( on the left menu on desktop and at the bottom on the app)
3. Click on the date for June 25 or 26
4. Choose the session you want to watch (even though the date is in the future)
5. The live Q&A session stream will be on the main window with a message saying it's not available.
6. Scroll down and you'll see a link to watch the Recorded session. This is the actual presentation that you will want to watch before the conference dates.
Please interact by:
1. asking a question in the Q&A session - the speaker will answer these on the conference dates
2. adding comments or questions in the chat, for interaction with other attendees
On the days of the actual conference there will be 45 minute time slots scheduled for each speaker and you'll be able to chat with them through the app to ask them your questions. The speakers could have extra surprises for you as well on those live sessions. You'll see these by going to Agenda then date then session (steps 1-4 above)
How do I ask the speakers a question?
Within each session there's a Q&A session. Please ask your questions there. We'll be taking questions from there for the speakers to answer during their live sessions.
You can ask questions ahead of time while you're viewing the recordings or you can ask them in during the live sessions using the same Q&A function in the Whova app.
What's the difference between Q&A and Chat?
In each session in Whova there is a Q&A and a Chat section.
Q&A is for asking questions for the speaker to answer in the live Q&A session - you can ask questions here ahead of time here as well and they will be answered live by the speaker. You will most likely not get an answer typed in there by the speaker.
Chat is for chatting with other attendees during the watch parties, at any time and during the live sessions. The speakers may or may not participate in the chat, but they will answer the Q&A questions during their live session.
Are we going to have fun too?

What is your cancellation policy?
Event registrations are refundable minus a $30 administration fee as long as the request is received at least 60 days prior to the date of the event. Registration fees are non-refundable within 60 days of the event (see below for special circumstances).
The host of the event reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason at any time up until 30 days prior to the scheduled date and to provide a full refund of registration fees. If the event is cancelled due to illness, natural disaster, weather delays or other reasons outside the control of the host, the registrant will have the choice of a refund or enrolment in another seminar or in the Introduction to TAGteach online course. If an attendee is unable to attend due to illness or other unforeseeable circumstance, they may request a transfer to another TAGteach or RYANO event (including the recorded version of this event), enrolment in an online course or other remediation. Any remediation of this nature will be at the sole discretion of the event host and may be subject to a $30 admin fee.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yer, you can transfer your ticket to someone else at any time. This may be subject to a $30 admin fee.
Is there a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes, you can request a full or partial refund within 30 days of the conference if you attend the entire event and are dissatisfied. This request must be in writing. You’ll be the first person in over 150 of our events ever to request a refund.
Can I get CEUs?

You'll be able to take a quiz and request your CEUs after the conference end date of June 26. There will be 2 CEU code words given by each presenter that you'll need to know for the quiz. After passing the quiz you'll get a certificate of attendance. You will need to view all the presentations and know all the code words in order to receive a certificate of completion.
How do I claim my CEUs?
The requirements to claim CEUs vary with the different organizations. We will provide you with the information or forms that you need to claim your CEUs.
It is your responsibility to know what your organization requires and to make sure that you get your forms signed (if necessary) on the day.
To help make sure that we have the correct forms and the correct number of forms and that we have the certification numbers we need to submit on your behalf, we will send you a form to fill out online.
If you have any questions please ask your organization.
There is no charge for CEUs, but if you request them from us more than 45 days after the end of the event there will be a $30 administration fee.
You'll be able to take a quiz and request your CEUs after the end of the conference on June 26.
BACB: you'll be able to claim your CEUs and obtain your certificate once you pass the quiz.
IAABC: you'll be able to download a certificate to submit for your CEU immediately after you pass the quiz.
CCPDT: your information will be submitted on your behalf during the week after the conference. You'll be able to download your certificate of attendance after June 26 once you've passed the quiz.
IATCB and KPA - You'll be able to download your certificate of attendance after June 26 once you've passed the quiz.

Can I access the recordings after the live event is over?
Yes, you'll have access to the presentation recordings and the Q&A recordings in the Whova app for 3 months on the web app and 6 months on the phone app after the conference.
Once this period is over there will be no more access. This is outside our control, since it's based on our contract with Whova. Please be sure to watch during this 3-6 time period.
There will be no refunds if you register but don't have time to watch the sessions.
Will the live Q&A sessions be recorded?
Yes, you'll have access to the presentation recordings and the Q&A recordings in the Whova app for 3 months on the web app and 6 months on the phone app after the conference.
Can I register after the Jun 25-26 conference date?
Yes, you can register up until Dec 17, 2021 (1 week before the 6 months recording access cut-off date). You'll have access to the presentation recordings and the Q&A recordings in the Whova app for 3 months on the web app and 6 months on the phone app after the conference. You'll also have access to the chat and Q&A within Whova. We will not be taking more questions after the live conference date.
Note that after Oct 25 the recordings will only be available on the phone Whova app and on on the computer desktop version.
There will be no refunds if you register but don't have time to watch the sessions.
