Low Cost Accommodation and Food at University Residence

CHATTcon attendees can stay in the brand new residence at the U of Washington for 2 nights (including breakfast and lunch) for significantly less than the price of 1 night in a Seattle hotel. You can stay for 2 night before and 2 nights after the conference if you want to explore Seattle. Click on the Book Now button below if you want to book your room before registering for the conference to make sure you get a room. These rooms are non-refundable, so book only if you know for sure you're going to attend.

DINING SERVICE

Guests will be issued a conference card programmed with a prearranged number of prescheduled meals to be used in the fixed-price All-You-Care-to-Eat (AYCE) dining facility. Conference cards programmed with AYCE meals can only be used in the AYCE facility during the meal periods and dates arranged by the Conference. Food and beverages may not be removed from the AYCE facility. There is no reentry to an AYCE facility after a guest leaves during a specific meal period.

Programmed dining arrangements are available only during the scheduled Conference dates. Guests who exceed their allotted dining funds can pay the difference in cash. Dining funds are not included in Early Arrival or Late Departure housing arrangements, but dining services may be purchased using cash or credit cards. A complete list of dining facilities, grocery and express markets, and espresso bars offered on campus will be provided upon check-in.

PARKING

Overnight parking is available near the residence halls. Complimentary parking is not available, and rates are subject to change without advance notice. Availability is limited and not guaranteed. More information regarding parking will be sent with your confirmation.

The deadline to book without incurring a late registration fee is July 5, but the sooner you book the better to ensure that you get the room that you want. There are single and double rooms. If the single rooms are all booked you can have a double to yourself at a higher price.

If you want a double occupancy room, you'll be assigned a roommate of the same sex unless you each put the other's name in the registration form.

You can see an example of the rooms and common areas here (this is representative, you may be in one of the other identical residences): https://hfs.uw.edu/Live/Housing-Locations/Madrona-Hall
